How You Can Help

Since Summer 2002, The Producers' Project has helped New York City students and teachers produce documentaries, public service announcements and other media as a way to build skills, instill confidence, enhance learning and enrich lives. As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit education corporation, we are dedicated to increasing the relevancy, permanence and reach of teaching and learning.

Working with middle and high schools from New York City Department of Education, The Producers' Project has enabled students and teachers to produce an array academically aligned, issue oriented and emotionally authentic documentaries, many of which air on TPP-TV's bi-weekly television series on MNN's Youth Channel (TW 34 and RNC 107 in Manhattan), and two of which debuted at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival.

Now, we are about to embark on our most ambitious undertakings to date - deepening the social and emotional intelligence and workforce development components of our program and extending TPP offerings to additional venues and youth groups, including schools that range from City Hall Academy to Island Academy/Rikers Island.

establish a Producers' Project studio and underwrites a year-long Producers' Project program in a New York City public school.

$25,000   

underwrite a semester-long Producers' Project program for NYC public schools.

$10,000   

underwrite a season of TPP-TV, our television series by and for teens.

develop TPP curricula and templates and build a replicable model.

$2,500   

trains teachers to use filmmaking and technology to enhance academic inquiry.

sponsor a student in a semester-long Producers' Project program.

build capacity, expand our offerings and reach, and establish our internship and scholarship programs.

 

Contributions of every shape and size - including in-kind equipment, goods and services - are needed and appreciated. And we encourage your participation - be it by guest-teaching in your area of expertise, accepting interns, distributing programming, and/or more.

The Producers' Project (TPP) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
