Friends,

Despite an unprecedentedly difficult economy, 2010 has proved to be a pivotal year for The Producers’ Project (TPP) – a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit education corporation.

Since 2002, TPP has enabled New York City students and teachers to make and share music, film and television that is academically aligned, artistically expressive and emotionally alive. In partnership with the New York City Department of Education, we’ve operated student courses and professional development programs that build skills, deepen knowledge and demonstrate results.

Recently, based on the success of Producers’ Project programs at Island and Horizon Academies on Rikers Island – where a TPP - produced orientation video advises incoming young adults of their right to attend high school while in jail – we have been asked to start Artsway Academy, a program that will help formerly incarcerated youth to earn GEDs and college degrees, attain life and career skills, and find work in the arts and media industries.

And, a generous, anonymous contribution enabled us to embark on The Power of Wow a film and science project through which TPP's young reporters, investigators and producers work with world leaders of neuroscience...and come realize the processes, power and plasticity of their own minds in the process.

Our programs have never been more promising. Your support has never been more needed. For every good reason, we hope you will get involved, and will give in what ways you can:

Your gift of $50,000 provides finishing funds for the production and distribution of The Power of Wow: Exploring Inner Space, and entitles you to become a founding sponsor of the program.

Your gift of $25,000 underwrites a semester-long TPP program for a NYC public school.

Your gift of $10,000 helps TPP develop, plan and pilot Artsway Academy.

Your gift of $5,000 helps underwrite a season of TPP-TV, our award-winning television series on MNN's Youth Channel.

Your gift of $2,500 trains teachers to use media production processes ad techniques to enhance academic inquiry.

Your gift of $1,000 sponsors a student in a semester-long Producers’ Project program.

Your gift in any amount is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
